I have a 284 International. It runs well. I bought it with a Woods Belly mower so the 3-point hitch was missing. Specifically I am looking for a 3-point hitch. I notice some other members have mentioned this tractor. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are common parts for this tractor and the Cub Cadet since, at least I think, they are/were sold under the IH brand. The 284 gas engine is a Mazda; I think the new Cub Cadets are Mitsubishi. Also I have not been able to confirm who manufactured the 284. Possibly it was Satoh which was later sold to Mitsubishi, I think. Does anyone know if there are common parts between the 284 and Satoh or Mitsubishi tractors? Does anyone know if there is a fairly reliable source of parts for this tractor? The case/international dealers I've talked to are kind of hit and miss. Any information would be helpful.
